How does one write about making a garden with your best friend? Do you start with how there used to be a swimming pool here with a whole bunch of weird rockery-like fibreglass surrounding it?

Perhaps it’s best not to start, nor to end, for this is a continual botanical and building narrative that constantly evolves. We have since cladded a dull wall in reclaimed timber and planted a mini forest in an otherwise useless corner. Beers and patience, it seems, are key to a good garden.

Hardscape and cladding by Lourenco’s Construction & Clad It, thank you Manny for your excellent eye and workmanship.

Thank you Konrad for making us part of the journey, your friendship means the world.
